LEGO Seasonal Chicken Skater Pod (853958) Review

The promotion for the LEGO Seasonal Chicken Skater Pod (853958) starts in a few days and LEGO has sent over the polybag for us to take a quick look at. Inside the polybag, there’s only pod itself and the instructions.

The front of the pod has a lenticular sticker that shows the chicken breaking through the pod which could also be seen as an egg.

As for the chicken itself, it’s a little girl that is dressed in the chicken suit that we’ve seen before. The only difference now is that it is yellow and has short legs. Her face shows her with a smile with a pink blush on her cheeks.

Inside the pod, there’s a small nature scene with the main focus being on the skate ramp. There’s also some lily pads around it along some trans-blue pieces to represent water. There’s also a rabbit on a skate and a trophy. The other side of the pod has a sticker that shows a concrete ramp with some Easter eggs. There’s also a spot for the chicken minifigure to stand. The build on the other side makes it so the pod can close with everything intact.

Overall, the LEGO Seasonal Chicken Skater Pod (853958) is a pretty neat item and it’s nice to see LEGO expanding on the usage of the pods. The main thing people will be looking forward to is the new chicken minifigure. You can get it for free from April 5-22 with purchases of $35 or more at LEGO Brand Stores and on Shop@Home .
